Project Overview
This project aims to empower new investors by providing them with a platform that simplifies the process of starting their financial journey. It focuses on educating users about investments and financial terminologies in an easy-to-understand manner, allowing them to make informed investment decisions without the usual complexities.
The project was part of my program at UC Berkeley, where the stakeholders were my instructors. A key component of this experience was convincing these stakeholders that there is a genuine problem in the market and presenting a viable solution. This project remains one of my favorites, as it taught me how to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
Overview
How it started ?
One of today's biggest challenges is managing money and making informed investments. Many people find investing to be complex and tend to avoid it, often lacking a basic understanding of finance and not knowing where to improve their knowledge. This project is part of my design course at UC Berkeley, where we were tasked with solving money-related problems. After conducting initial research with people around me, I discovered that many struggle with investing, which led me to create an app designed to help users learn about investments. The app provides quick readings, short videos, and well-organized lessons, allowing users to easily grasp financial concepts and test their knowledge.
What are the steps?
I followed the Double - Diamond Design process, taking me 4 weeks sprint to progress from the 'understand user needs' to the 'Testing' phase
